MANAGEMENT


Head Representative and Producer, Masaki Kaifu, has over 20 years experience in the entertainment and television business. He is the controlling partner of Wowmax Media, LLC., with business expertise in licensing and importing Japanese content to the US and Europe, as well as exporting US content to Asia. Masaki and his associates help orchestrate new international content co-productions between Japanese and U.S. companies.

As Head of the Anime Division and Chief of the Film Department at WOWOW (Japan's first premium satellite television distribution company), Masaki finalized the licensing agreements with major Hollywood film studios, and created new strategic business categories for WOWOW. He has produced over 20 anime titles and more than 40 television programs in Japan, including television series The Soul Taker, Crest of The Stars, and Brigadoon.

Masaki's first entertainment related position was at TBS, Tokyo Broadcasting System, (major terrestrial network in Japan). He was involved with television programming, productions, and sales. Masaki managed all film investments, co-productions, acquisitions, and overseas television show acquisitions.

In addition, Masaki has a vast network in the political and business world from his prestigious position as an Assistant to the Prime Minister of Japan.


Partner and Producer, Masami Tokunaga, has extensive experience in video media, television programming, video games, anime, and licensing in the U.S. and Japan.

As a partner at Wowmax Media, she is responsible for business development, marketing, licensing, content production, and client relations. Previously, Masami managed the high profile LA Lakers Asia Relations Project for PP-Plus, (sports entertainment marketing company). At Cartoon Network Japan, she was responsible for marketing campaigns, and assisted Cartoon Network US with programming acquisitions and co-productions with anime studios.

While at TOKYOPOP (Japanese anime & manga publisher in Los Angeles), Masami produced and promoted a range of anime DVDs. Masami' s work with Panasonic in their Business Development Department included her working at numerous entertainment related businesses and subsidiaries.

She assisted with the establishment of DIRECTV Japan, has created 12 television channels since her start, and has completed extensive marketing campaigns for the video game industry.
